Training with BYU Lacrosse player Max Neser.  Max graduated from Woodbridge High School and now attends BYU. Max this past year was selected to be 1^st team All-American in the MCLA and RMLC Conference Defensive Player of the year.

WHS SUMMER LACROSSE CAMP

This summer there is a great opportunity to play lacrosse at the WHS Summer Lacrosse Camp.  Whether this is your first time picking up a lacrosse stick or you have years of experience, the WHS Lacrosse Summer Camp will give you some great conditioning, enhance your experience and improve your stick skills so that when game play starts you will be playing top notch lacrosse.  Please check out the following links for all the details.  Signup deadlines are fast approaching!

Hi Warrior Players and Families!

I hope you are having a wonderful, fun, peaceful, restful Spring Break!  Below are the updates for next week (April 13^th – 17^th).  Thanks so much to the families who are donating funds and food towards feeding the team before and after the Temecula game on Friday 4/17, please see below for details on making your donations.  Thank you again!!!  We have an awesome TEAM of players and families!!!!

Team Dinner Hosted by the Darius and Morrison Families at 129 W. Yale Loop

** Please help!  We need 15 folding chairs for the dinner!!  Please let me know if you have folding chairs (& how many) you can lend us for the dinner.  Thanks! **

Varsity A at HOME (Mark Daily Field / Alton Park) vs University HS.

Thursday, April 16^th at 6:30pm - 8pm --

Assembly line PBJ & sack lunch making for pre-Temecula bus ride. 

at Falcone’s house, 21 Buttonwood  (off Springbrook North & Briarglen) 

We will be making 50 bagged lunches for the players to eat before ride to Temecula.

We need:  sandwich bread, Peanut Butter, Jelly, assorted individual bags of chips, bananas, Gatorade, Water, sandwich baggies, brown bags or Ralph's/Albertson's bags, napkins. 

If you emailed me that you would like to donate, please drop off your items anytime this weekend.  We should be home, but if we aren’t for some reason, just leave it on the porch or under the mat.  Thanks so much!

Please let me know if you are going to come help pack lunches so I can plan accordingly.  Players can help too!!

** Please let me know if your son cannot eat peanut butter and offer an alternate suggestion.**  Thanks!

Friday, April 17^th at 6:00pm -- Varsity A at Temecula Valley HS: 

All players will be riding the bus to and from Temecula Valley HS.  If you are going to the game & are planning to have your son ride home from Temecula with you instead of on the bus, you MUST email Coach Doane (timothydoane@iusd.org) and cc: Rick Gibson (rickgibson@iusd.org) no later than Wed April 15^th to let them know your intentions.

Thank you to the families who are donating to feed the players and coaches after the game.  Please feel free to drop off your donation at my house (21 Buttonwood) this weekend or give it to me at the game on Monday.  I’m still waiting to hear back from the THS team rep for local suggestions (most likely pizza).

UPCOMING DATES:

Thursday, April 23^rd at 5pm is Senior Night:

Our graduating Seniors will be honored before the game and will walk onto the field with their parents while Coach Doane announces them and their lax accomplishments.  We need about 3-4 parents to help put this together.

Please let me know if you are interested in helping to plan and execute this fun tribute!  This season we have nine (9) seniors.  Thank you!!

This game is a Varsity A game.  Our first HOME game of the season!  Let’s all show our support and cheer on our awesome Warriors!!  Chris Keena, Lana Waggoner and Paul Buckland, thanks so much for signing up to be Home game Field help.  Please arrive by 3:30pm for instructions. 

Wednesday, March 18^th – Turn in Car Wash Ticket $$ at Practice (8 tickets were given to each player).  Each Player is required to sell a minimum of 5 tickets ($25)!  Turn in $$ and any unsold tickets at practice on Wed.

Thursday, March 19^th  6pm – 7pm -- Team Dinner at The Buckland’s House 

Friday, March 20^th  4:00pm -- Varsity B at HOME (Mark Daily Field / Alton Park)

THIS WEEK:

Our first game is Monday 3/2/15 at 4pm at Los Alamitos High School 3591 Cerritos Avenue, Los Alamitos, CA  90720.

This game is a Frosh/Soph game.  ALL WHS Lacrosse players will attend and be transported by bus to Los Alamitos High School.  Per Coach Doane:  Players are to wear their game jerseys if they have been told by Coach they are playing in the game.  All other players are to wear their WHS LAX Polos or other WHS LAX shirts.  Again, Coach Doane told the players this on Friday.

Our first Team Dinner is Tuesday 3/3/15.  Details to follow.

Boys LAX Announcements/Updates 
(2/13/2015)

• If you missed the parent meeting on Tuesday, please send in your donation with your athlete as soon as possible (suggested $275). (Or give to Mimi Falcone or Anissa Kennedy.)

• Schedule Changes: the game schedule has been updated slightly. Our game vs. Northwood HS is now 4/23.  Always refer to the online schedule to see most updated dates/times.

• The lacrosse apparel website is back up and ready for shopping for a limited time only.  Parents can order from the site by clicking on the link below.  There are many items available with a few example items shown below.  Make sure to tell other lacrosse families and order soon because the site closes 2/17/2015. This end date allows orders to be delivered by the first week of the season -- so order soon!

Mandatory Parent Meeting - Feb 10th

There will be a mandatory parent meeting for this year’s Boys Varsity Lacrosse team on Tuesday night, February 10^th, at 6:00pm in the WHS Media Center.  The coaches will be sharing detailed information about the season and answer any questions that night.  

*Please remember to bring your checkbook.

Boys LAX Tryouts
There are NO TRYOUTS this year.  Assessments of new players were made during the Off Season. If you have any questions, please contact Head Coach Tim Doane (timothydoane@iusd.org) 
IMPORTANT: All players must have their Athletic Clearance packets turned in ASAP. You can pick up the forms at the Athletic Office or download from Athletics tab on WHS website.
